This is one of my all time favorite breakfast recipes that is quick, easy, healthy, and super tasty to make!!!!! I have this a few times a week and it is a real treat! This smoothie is low sugar and jam packed with healthy protein sources and micronutrients. I use a protein powder from a local store The Nutrition Store by Apollon Nutrition. It is called Apollon Nutrition 50/50 Formula X protein. Peanut Butter Cookie Flavor!!! YUUUMMM!!!!
1 Scoop Apollon Nutrition Peanut Butter Cookie Protein Powder
1 Medium Frozen Banana
1 ½ cups of Ice
1 ½ Cups of 2% milk
½ cup of dry quick cooking oats
The night before making, peel a medium banana and cut into quarter sized chunks. Place the chunks in a freezer ziplock bag, press the air out of the bag, and put in the freezer overnight so the banana is frozen in the morning.
To Prepare the smoothie, pour the 2% milk into the blender with the ice, banana pieces, and the scoop of protein powder. Pulse the blender about 3 times to break up the ice and start the mixture, and then add your dry oats to the blender.
Blend on high for 15 second intervals until smooth.
